Tolsen professional long needle nose pliers are constructed from hardened forged steel and are nickel plated to provide long-lasting durability and protection from corrosion. One side of the handle includes a bolt that is used to adjust the spacing of the jaws. The other side of the handle includes a lever to push the two sides of the handles apart to unlock the pliers. The jaws are set to a size slightly smaller than what is to be gripped by turning the bolt in one handle with the jaws closed. Locking pliers are ideal tools for clamping hard to reach objects or for soldering or welding materials.

Needle nose Mole grips/locking pliers have longer, narrower jaws to grip smaller objects and fit into more confined spaces. They are often used to to reach objects in obstructed areas, for example when making car repairs.
